We are Halloween Haunt wannabes. We love to make our own stuff, and have done so each year for past four years at our kids school Trunk or Treat event. Took 1st place each year so far.
This year, our last, we plan to GO BIG and win again.
We are SO IMPRESSED with your ideas and the way you explain your projects is very clear - we can't wait to put some of these ideas into action.
Thanks for all the time and effort you put into sharing your imagination with us.

I just wanted to thank you for sharing your ideas. I'm a big fan of your work. I visit your site all the time. I love the lighted spider saks. I have made 4 of them for my display this year and you are right, very easy to make. Thank you again and look forward to your next creations.

My husband and I are throwing a Zombie party for our 30th and 31st birthdays this year since they are both the week before Halloween. I have gotten lots of ideas for decorating from your site and I just wanted to say thanks for posting all your pictures and tips and tricks. I have made my first replica skull and am waiting for it to dry so I can go on to paint and make some ground breakers in my yard!
I owned a pre-civil war home at the dead end of Maple St. in Valley City, from 1983-97. I had restored it, and moved in 1997. Unfortunately, a couple years later, someone with no respect for history destroyed it and built a new gleaming "Paper House" in it's place. It was located at 1262, right across from the new city park.
People searching for the "Witches Ball" would get lost and end up down at our house, and I would direct them to Myrtle Hill. The descendants of the Stoskopfs were neighbors of mine, and they verified that the story was indeed "Urban Legend".
These granite spheres were very popular in the 1920's for gravestones. There are two at a cemetery near Willard, OH, on Rte. 224, and two at Reedsburg Cemetery in Wayne County, that I am aware of. Others exist in many Cleveland Cemeteries such as Ridge Rd, and Calvary Cemetery. A little investigating will undoubtedly turn up many more.
