I’m a wife, a Mother and a Hauntaholic.
I have been a Halloween enthusiast for as long as I can remember. It wasn’t until I purchased my first home did decorating my yard become somewhat of a passion (OK obsession). Our first Halloween was pretty unexciting to say the least…Unknown to me at the time we bought our house, the majority of my neighbors are retired and Halloween is more of a thorn in their side than an enjoyment.
I decided after that first Halloween, I wanted to have the house every kid in the neighborhood want to come to. We needed to bring the spirit of Halloween into this neighborhood. No more foofoo orange wreaths… no more orange bows hanging from the fence posts… no more cute smiling stuffed scarecrows. I wanted a graveyard, zombies, rotting corpses and little kids running screaming from my house. Muahahahahaha
So I started searching the web for Halloween ideas–which lead me to Ghostess Deanna. I must say, I was in complete awe! I was really just happy to know there was another person out there who was just as passionate about Halloween as me. I took my new found knowledge and began improving my tombstones and making paper mache skulls that fall.
Two years later, I found Garage of Evil an awesome Home Haunters How-to Network. My passion for prop building has now gone full circle from my first year. Thanks to so many demented Home Haunters just like me! So now, I’m replacing my older cheesier props with new and improved ones.
This is me…this is my Obsession!
