Trick or Treat 2009
The Great Pumpkin blessed us with a beautiful huge moon along with a perfect cool, crisp still evening. Although we only had approximately 80 ToT, the evening turned out great. It was AWESOME to see so many little ones out this year! The smiles and comments from ToT’s, parents and neighbors make what we do worth it. I only HOPE that my neighbors whom ignore the festive event come to realize that this night is for the children and one day actually participate in sharing and giving back to the community. My heart was saddened to see only 4/15 houses participating on my block this year. Halloween is a time to let our inner child out to play, to pass on our childhood traditions to our children, and to share the fun with our friends and neighbors. Halloween sparks imagination and creativity within young minds. Please remember this night is for the children! Future little Halloween Haunters! Don’t let this wonderful tradition die!
