 7/24/2010 “How to Corpse Yourself?? Have a MnT in July”

Despite the raging heatwave that hit Ohio yesterday, the Northern Ohio Haunters MnT Rocked!

We can truly say that it was HOT as HELL and that we were stirring up some real Evil (or sweat) in my GoE this weekend. I don’t think there was enough ice cold towels to cut the heat yesterday – but we carried on. We were short a few members (for good reasons) but gained 5 first time GoE Meet members. It was awesome meeting with all of you and sharing – let’s hope the Sept. Meet is not as hot.

I’d like to welcome Janel Dovala, Craig Newton and his lovely wife Linda , Steven Fleck and Terry Miller to the Group. Hope to see all of you in September.

I’d like to thank Matt Seel of Dream Makers Ink for reviewing AirBursh basics with us and letting us play with his airbrushes. I can’t wait for October..not just Halloween but King of Fools Comic Book series…woohoo!! BTW – Matt Seel is the illustrator for the comic…awesome, awesome artwork! I’ll be blogging more on this 4 SURE!!!!

I also like to Thank my two favorite guys George Simpson III  and Matt Seel for the AWESOME door prize!!! A very special Northern Ohio Haunter Door Prize indeed.  Molded by George and painted by Matt….how freaking cool is that?????  Winner: Craig Newton – we can’t wait to see how he uses it in his haunt.

5/22/2010 Life Cast Clinic MnT

I’d like to thank all the Haunters that came out and made the GoE Northern Ohio Home Haunters May MnT so AWESOME! Special thanks to George for sharing his mold making knowledge with us and to Mother Nature who blew the clouds away and let the sun shine all day.  This was a record day for the Northern Group!!! 14 + 4 kids making Wicked EVIL in one garage!!!!  We casted a total of 11 hand, learned about other cool latex mold techniques, played with the hot wire foam cutter, shared a few prop show and tells, gave away 2 door prizes and even sent home a mini project for everyone to do at home (Zombie Magnets). Best of all we baptized 2 virgin haunters to the home haunt world!!! Oh yea Baby!!  Rock On Ohio Haunters!!!!  **Like to send a special message out to Doug and Cybil of the Southern Ohio Chapter…we missed you guys today and you were in all our thoughts**

4/17/2010 GoE Southern Ohio Haunters MnT

It was great going down and hanging out with my sister group the GoE Southern Ohio Home Haunters. They just happen to be doing the GoE Laser Vortex build – a total of 4 units were made during the meet. We reviewed foam cutting tools and techniques and had a few great show and tell props reviewed. Great people, good food and tons of laughs. Can’t wait to hook up with all of them at the MidWest Haunters Convention in June and again next year for another great MnT.

3/20/2010 Meet and Greet to Kick Off 2010 Season

Our first drink and think (social) gathering for 2010 went over great! We came up with an awesome MnT schedule and had the live New England MnT feed up and running in the garage during our meet. Thanks Angie for the awesome macaroni salad (you have been dubbed as MacQueen for all future MnT’s), It was great meeting two new haunters to the group Eric and George.  We may be small but we are mighty! The talent within this group is AWESOME!! Can’t wait to meet up with all of you in May.

7/22/2009 Laser Vortex MnT

It was held July 18th at Tom and Karen’s Evil Garage in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
It was great meeting up with everyone! Special Thanks to Tom and Karen for hosting and Karen for feeding all us insane Haunters (awesome dip). Tom…thank you for helping so much with the build! Love Ya man! A big shout out to my new 4-ever buddy Sparky who brought the case of Killian’s Irish Red (oh yea)! Love the Foam Carvings and lights :) Thanks for sharing and giving me a few awesome tips. Thanks to Troy and Stacey (ashleysasylum) representing The Indianapolis Sinister League as well as Lot13 and Hemmie. We had awesome Show and Tell from foam carvings to pop-ups to drinking ghouls…it was great! Thank you all for sharing with us… and we won’t mention that I melted a dime to the table or that Troy scratch the crap out of the mirror or that I got metal in my eye! We’ll just keep that hush hush :)

5/16/2009 Pumpkin Paper Mache MnT

The Make and Take went great, despite the on and off rain showers and me with a tremendous pounding head cold. We decided to get together next weekend 5/23/09, 2:00 PM to cut out facial features and start paper clay step – Phase II. Special Thanks to everyone that came out to the first of many Make and Takes at the Cauldron! Thanks for the awesome desserts and side dishes (and causing me to gain 2lbs during the meet). It was great to see old friends and meet new friends during this work shop :-) .  Now remember I want photos of everyone’s finished pumpkins to Post!
